The 9-week Emotion Monsters LEGO® Brick Play Programme
A structured, Lego play-based intervention supporting children aged 5–9 with SEMH, ADHD, and ASD needs. Through guided LEGO® building and externalised emotion monsters, children develop emotional regulation, awareness, and engagement.
Sessions are sensory-led, neuroaffirming, and trauma-informed, delivered in small groups.
Progress is measured through structured observations, engagement monitoring, and parent/teacher feedback, supporting EHCP targets or AP outcomes.

Unlock Your Child’s Potential with LEGO® Play
At Bright Minds Calm Hearts Mindful Learning Ltd, we’re excited to bring LEGO® Play to West Sussex.
This creative and collaborative intervention helps children develop vital social and communication skills & resilience through structured play in a fun, supportive environment.
✨ Watch your child’s confidence grow as they build, share, and connect.
✨ Designed specifically for children and young people, requiring additional support, focusing on interaction, teamwork, and the development of resilience.
The Three Core Roles:
The Builder – follows directions and turns ideas into reality
The Engineer – gives clear instructions and leads the build
The Supplier – gathers and organises the right pieces
Each role encourages different skills — like active listening, teamwork, flexible thinking, and self-regulation.
Building Inner Strength: The Archetypes
Beyond practical skills, LEGO® play becomes a powerful tool for children to explore and embody positive inner roles, or archetypes, such as:
🦸♂️ The Superhero (bravery, fairness, inner strength)
🧭 The Explorer (curiosity, growth, imagination)
🧗♀️ The Adventurer (resilience, play, confidence)
🤝 The Carer (empathy, kindness, connection)
Through creative play and storytelling, we help children connect with these parts of themselves, often hidden beneath worry, anger, or social anxiety.

Family Support
Raising a child with autism, ADHD, or other special educational needs comes with unique joys and challenges. The Family Support & Therapy Services are designed to walk alongside you, providing personalized guidance, practical tools, and a compassionate space for your family to grow and thrive together.
Our approach is rooted in the understanding that every family’s journey is unique. We focus on strengthening family dynamics, fostering effective communication, and building resilience for both children and their caregivers.
Our services cover a range of supports:
Parent and Sibling Sessions: Building understanding, patience, and connection within the family unit.
Skill-Building Programs: Practical strategies for managing daily challenges, navigating sensory needs, and supporting social-emotional growth and resilience.
PBS-Informed Behaviour Support
We offer gentle, non-clinical support based on Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) principles to help children understand their needs and develop positive coping skills.
This may include:
• 1:1 and small-group sessions
• Emotional and sensory regulation
• Identifying triggers and building alternative strategies
• Creative engagement through art, music, and play
• Support for EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance)
• Confidence building for children currently out of school
We provide PBS-informed guidance, not formal PBS assessments.
EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing)
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a highly effective, evidence-based psychotherapy designed to help people heal from the emotional impact of distressing and traumatic experiences. It’s recognised internationally as a trusted therapy for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression and related difficulties.
Unlike traditional talk-only therapies, EMDR works with how your brain stores and processes difficult memories. When events are overwhelming, they can become “stuck” in the nervous system — causing unwanted emotional reactions, intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, body sensations or patterns of avoidance. EMDR helps the brain re-process these memories in a safe, structured way, so they no longer hold the same emotional charge and you can move forward with greater ease and control.
How EMDR Works
EMDR follows a structured, step-by-step process tailored to your unique needs. With gentle bilateral stimulation — such as guided eye movements, tapping, or auditory cues — you are supported to focus on troubling memories while your brain naturally begins to integrate the experience in a healthier way. This process helps reduce emotional distress and supports more adaptive beliefs and responses in the present moment.
One of the strengths of EMDR is that it doesn’t require you to give a detailed account of your story or relive painful events in depth. Many clients find this approach more comfortable, especially when talking about difficult experiences feels too overwhelming.
