About Bright Minds, Calm Hearts, Mindful Learning Ltd
At Bright Minds, Calm Hearts, Mindful Learning Ltd, we believe every child deserves the chance to feel understood, supported, and empowered. Based in West Sussex, we specialise in LEGO®-based therapy, mindfulness practices, and holistic children and young person-centred approaches, designed to nurture emotional well-being, resilience, and communication skills.
Positive Behaviour Support
We provide personalised Positive Behaviour Support for young people not currently in school. Through tailored strategies and one-to-one or small group sessions, we help young people build confidence, manage emotions, develop social skills, and reduce challenging behaviours in a safe, supportive environment.
We engage young people with creative activities, including art, music, and hands-on projects, helping them discover new interests, express themselves, and reconnect with learning in a meaningful way.
We work with children, young people, and families, tailoring every session to meet individual needs. Whether through 1:1 support, small group work, or partnerships with schools and referral services, our focus is on creating safe, engaging, and empowering spaces where children can grow in confidence, self-expression, and connection.
Our Approach
At Bright Minds, Calm Hearts, Mindful Learning Ltd, children are never expected to “fit in.” Instead, we build spaces that fit them, nurturing self-expression, building emotional resilience, and encouraging connection.
Our sessions often combine LEGO®-based play therapy with mindfulness and evidence-based strategies, offering children a secure, enjoyable, and interactive way to:
- Develop communication and social skills
- Strengthen emotional regulation
- Build confidence and problem-solving skills
- Explore their feelings and identity in a safe environment
Every child deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated. We are here to walk alongside children, young people, and their families, creating opportunities for growth, understanding, and joy.
Research and Evidence Supporting Lego Therapy
There are a few studies and reviews that have shown the effectiveness of Lego Therapy as an intervention in targeting social skills in children with autism.
According to a systrmetic review published in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders in 2017, Lego interventions were shown to improve communication and social skills and reduce negative behaviors.
When compared to children in a study in 2008 who participated in another social skills therapy program over the course of 18 weeks, the children who did Lego Therapy demonstrated more improvement on social interaction scores.
A study conducted by LeGoff and Sherman in 2006 looked at the long-term effects of Lego Therapy. When comparing children who received Lego Therapy to those who received a different therapy, those who participated in Lego Therapy demonstrated more significant improvement. It also showed long term maintenance of skills three years after receiving the therapy.

The Heart Behind the Practice
Hi, I’m Claire, the founder of Bright Minds Calm Hearts Mindful Learning Ltd.
The idea for this project was born when I witnessed the transformative power of Lego therapy, bringing joy and connection to kids who often felt isolated.
Whether I’m building with bricks or building dreams, my goal is always the same: to inspire and uplift.
